International Conference of Solid Waste 2011: Moving Towards Sustainable Resource Management

The Solid Waste Management Association of the Philippines (SWAPP) will participate in the International Conference of Solid Waste 2011: Moving Towards Sustainable Resource Management (http://arcpe.hkbu.edu.hk/ conf2011/) in Hong Kong International Convention Center, SAR, China. Environmental Planner Emmanuel P. Crucio, SWAPP Board Member (Auditor) will present two poster presentations topics on good SWM governance and on GIS tool utilization.

According to the Conference Secretariat, they have received a great response of over 300 registrations, with a total of 139 oral presentations and 67 poster presentations. This together with the local workshop, the secretariat expect a total participation of nearly 400 international delegates.

The conference is mainly organized by Hong Kong Baptist University and Sino Forest Applied Research for Pearl River Delta Environment. Some of the selected organizing partners are ORBIT Association, IWWG, International Solid waste association (ISWA) and many more partners from Hong Kong and China based and foreign countries.
